It’s normal for children to feel worried from time to time, especially when they are trying something new, transitioning to a new school or home, or when they are facing a particularly challenging life event. However for children with Anxiety, feelings of worry or fear can have a huge affect on their thoughts and behaviour, and interfere with their everyday lives. Kate Bartram-Brown, founder of Mini Me Yoga, found that just 15 minutes of kids yoga, meditation and mindfulness a day, can help improve children’s mental and emotional health and wellbeing.
Last week, our guest blogger Heather McCrae gave us an insight into how meditation and alternative healing modalities can help support children with anxiety and challenging behaviour. We continue to explore this theme a bit further with guest bloggers Vicki Readings and Fiona Macnaughton-Jones, who have recently attended Healers Academy to become certified Life Activation and Max Meditation Practitioners™ in the Ancient Lineage of King Solomon.
What is a Life Activation?
The Life Activation is a powerful technique that has been handed down over thousands of years, enabling you to bring in and hold more positive energy in your physical body, empowers you to maximize your potential to bring forth unrealized talents and abilities, and gives you more energy and clarity. Our views on attending Healers Academy
Our 5 days at Healers Academy was truly the most amazing journey. We have been challenged to the core and pushed beyond limitations, and our thoughts and knowledge have been totally stretched. We managed to overcome the barriers with the support of the other practitioners in training, including a few members of our mini me yoga community. Supporting one another is something that we need to be doing and building each others self esteem and confidence to create happier and more positive people. Working together is more important now more than ever in this fast pace, evolving world.
By the end of the week, we left feeling more blissful than we have ever felt before with a much wider perspective on life alongside a positive mindset and focus. The tools that we have been given will enable us to help, support and guide many people in the world to reach their full potential with confidence, clarity and positivity. We cannot wait to step out into the world and share these ancient tools to help families and children to live more fulfilling and peaceful lives.

About Vicki Readings
Vicki Readings is the Mini Me Yoga Ambassador for Wales and part of the U.K Schools team. She is a qualified Primary School teacher and currently training as a counsellor. From being a Primary School teacher and working in education, her passion is supporting children and families emotional well-being providing practical strategies to use on a daily basis to improve happiness and confidence. Vicki is also part of the Legacy International Group, sitting on their project panel who exist to overcome barriers and bring about change. About Fiona Macnaughton-Jones
Fiona Macnaughton-Jones has recently joined the Mini Me Yoga community as an Ambassador for London. She has been working with children and families in various support roles for over 12 years and holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), and a Certificate in Parent-Child Therapy through the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE). Fiona is passionate about supporting children with SEN, including those with autism and speech language and communication difficulties. In 2012, Fiona received an award from the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) as recognition for providing ‘exceptional service’ to support children and families across Central and West London communities.
